Temple of Gods
A small multilinear point and click game, where the player faces the choice between three deities.

The assignment was to create something that inspired you, using the program Virtools. I thus explored a deep rooted interest of mine; Gods. Mainly the communication between gods and humans.

While I did almost everything alone in this project, I hit a wall when it came to programming the game, so Rik van Duijn did that for me.

How did it work?
The player is in a blue temple, with a large open book in the center of it. Clicking on the book reveals what the gods desire. Behind the book is a large bowl containing grains, that the player can pick up. The player is then allowed to choose how to divide the grains over the three gods.

Each god has two properties, that are both positive and negative. The player finds out that favoring one god over the other,
usually has terrible results.

With this game I tried to explore how a god would communicate with his or her worshipper. How such a powerful being is still dependant on the whims of it's followers.
