King of the Chill
This was an Urban Game project, done together with 3 other classmates. There weren't clearly divided roles in this project, so we all played an equal part in concept, design and execution. I was however responsible for the graphics used in the final game.

How did it work?
The point of the whole game performance was to create an oasis of relaxation in the middle of a busy city, where people hardly take the time to sit still and relax. It was a challenge to create a game that didn't revolve around stress and competition.

The game started on a large public square in the centre of Utrecht, with one couch and a couple of cushions. Once people sat down, they were presented with a game guide. Once players were able to convince bystanders to participate in the "chilling", they were rewarded by points. With those points it was possible to purchase more couches, cushions, snacks, music and other items for relaxation.

The game was a huge success; over 130 people participated in the game during the day. Most people did not want to leave and stayed right until the end. It was not only a fun game to play, but also made an interesting performance for bystanders.
