Glashelder
Glashelder was an online game with an interactive theatre play conclusion, based on Shakespeare's play Hamlet.
In this project, I was appointed art lead. I had the final say over the play's visual style, and played a major part in designing the decor. I produced a lot of concept and final art for it and also acted as minister Ophelia in the final play.
How did it work?
The story started with the murder of prime-minster Hamlet dying under mysterious circumstances. After signing up online, players got separated into five teams. Each team serving underneath a minister. Using an online control panel, players gathered information on the ministers that could be used to either positively or negatively influence their reputations, once submitted to the daily newspaper.
Players were able to communicate and plot with each other through a forum. Those who gained in rank got more complicated gameplay, such as puzzles that could only be solved by going out into the real world.

| Slowly a story of deceit and lies unfolded, players could choose to support their own minister, but they all seemed suspicious. The entire game, the course of action the players chose to take, had an effect on the story's outcome. During the final live conclusion, they had direct control over the outcome of the story, deciding literally who got to live or die. |
