Forest Installation
An art installation with the theme of forest. Enticing the visitor to explore the location and get lost between the trees.

For my final second year school project, I wanted to make a physical art installation. I teamed up with my classmate Roy van der Schilden, since we both wanted more experience in this field and our ideas were very similar. With the theme "forest" we built a walk through experience of a forest, transitioning from a noisy suburban park to a rich and wild natural forest.

One of the strong points of this project was the attention to every sense, sight, smell, sound and touch were all thought about.

With the use of beamers we projected onto a large number of hanging screens, to create the layered feeling of many trees. It also had the effect that every time the visitor changed position, the view was different.

I would like to thank the Dutch Game Garden, for facilitating a room that we could build our installation in.
